I have the profound privilege of not only being your president but being a proud born and raised Las Vegan and downtown resident of 5 years.
The fact of the matter is our city is suffering and so I felt compelled to say something or I would regret it for the rest of my life.
The AMA Las Vegas Chapter stands in solidarity with our black brothers and sisters. We aim to create a safe community for all marketing & business professions who share the common passion of marketing regardless of race. And I believe we do a damn good job at it too, but of course we always can do better.
I encourage you to support the movement and begin or continue to educate yourself and listen to our black community while simultaneously adapting the mindset and goal of condemning all acts of racism, discrimination, and senseless acts of violence. This is not a political statement, this is a request for human decency.
It is communities like AMA who need to step up and scream as loud as we can in order to bring justice and peace back to our beloved city.
