My “I” Story… I was born and raised in Lima, Peru and have been living in the United States for over 30 years. My education in marketing has come from the University of Phoenix where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. In my time here in Las Vegas I have met my wonderful husband José and have had two sons, Nicholas and Benjamin. They are currently attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, making me proud each and every day. Both Nick and Benjy also have taken an interest in Marketing, now working in the family business. For me my interest in marketing came later during my employment at Entravision Communications which strengthened my broadcast knowledge and affiliation with noteworthy clientele including PBR, automotive industries and RTC. Soon after, with more than a decade of experience in Marketing and Sales, I led the Hispanic Marketing efforts at the prestigious Robertson+Partners Advertising agency. In 2013, while at Robertson+Partners, I was awarded the prestigious Best Local Hispanic Marketing Campaign in the U.S. by McDonald’s Corporation. Among my various points of expertise to include Hispanic Marketing, trans-creation and translation services. This previous amazing opportunity gave me the motivation to own and operate my own Marketing and Consulting firm here in Las Vegas – SW Marketing and Consulting. Where my team and I specialize in the development of this important local market segment through networking, analysis, strategic planning and execution, creating cross-cultural promotions, establishing powerful partnerships, target profiling and media planning and buying. Not only is my family and business a priority, but so is my community. As a part of my commitment to be active in my community, I am involved with the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce and Latina’s Empower that has resulted in strong relationships within the Hispanic community.
Kelly has been a casino media and promotions professional based in Las Vegas for over 30 years. Her media career has focused heavily on entertainment and promotions including planning and executing media plans for all aspects of resort media including gaming, lodging and amenities with a specialized background in venue events, residencies, and festivals. She continues to expand into all aspects of entertainment including talent buying, show production and the economics of venue management. She is thrilled to be working with several organizations for upcoming festivals scheduled for later in 2021 and throughout 2022.
She brings experience from both on-property and the agency side as well as owning her own media planning and buying firm since 2008. Recognizing the importance of integrated media and marketing, Kelly has extensive experience in the planning and execution of both traditional and digital media. She was on the launch marketing teams of Mandalay Bay, House of Blues and The Palms among others, and has worked for multiple broadcast companies in Las Vegas, most recently Lotus Broadcasting. Kelly is the first independent voice over artist to be inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame and continues to work as a voice over artist and vocalist. She is currently Media Director at Touch Squared Marketing, working with Golden Entertainment, MGM Entertainment, Virgin Hotels, and the Las Vegas Aces among others.
Darcy K. Neighbors
For 25 years, Darcy K. Neighbors has served as founder and CEO of one of the Las Vegas Valley’s premier marketing, advertising and public relations firm (CIM Marketing Partners). She and the firm are highly respected for their strategic approach to marketing and creative approach to advertising.
Her career includes serving as a business analyst at the Kennedy Space Center, founding and selling a retail business and serving as director of business and marketing at Jeffrey Burr, one of Nevada’s largest estate planning law firms. Neighbors earned a bachelor in business administration degree (emphasis in marketing) from UNLV.
Neighbors has helped hundreds of companies increase their market share and profitability by positioning them through effective marketing, advertising and public relations. Neighbors authored a book—Marketing Fusion: 7 Elements to Ignite Your Growth—to inspire readers to develop a true strategic marketing vision.
She was honored as the 2013 Alumna of the Year of UNLV’s Lee Business School and, in 2012, as its Marketing Department Alumna of the Year. She was also the 2012 past president of the Southwest Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association. In 2011, Neighbors was inducted into the Leadership Las Vegas Hall of Fame by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas program sponsored by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Las Vegas chapter of the American Marketing Association.
Neighbors is the founder and driving force behind DJs for PJs®, a charity that has collected more than 100,000 new pairs of pajamas for children at local charities, and is active throughout our community. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Lee Business School at UNLV. She and her husband, Sonny, are the devoted parents of two adult daughters, Hayley and Emily.
