New to the American Marketing Association Las Vegas (AMALV) board, Jennifer’s drive is inspiring – and contagious. It’s no wonder she quickly climbed the ladder professionally and holds the position as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Elite Media. If we could clone her, trust us, we would. She’s every employer’s dream hire, every client’s dream consultant, and everyone’s team player. Let’s put it this way, she’s superwoman, and, the reason why we collectively named her our October Board Member of the Month.
As you can see, we can’t say enough about Jennifer so we decide to let her do the talking. Even though she’s a southern bell, it’s obvious she shares our work hard, play hard philosophy. See for yourself. Get to know Jennifer outside of the AMALV:
Best vacation and why?
Beaches Turks and Caicos trip I took in 2014 with my family. The water was crystal clear and the beaches were pristine. We had a great time. I definitely want to go back! (pic attached)
What’s your dream car?
My car I have now, well, SUV Lexus GX460. I tell everyone that I’m going to drive it until the wheels fall off and then buy new wheels.
Best part about your position at Elite Media?
Honestly, the best part is getting to meet new people and be a part of amazing advertising campaigns. When I was on the agency side, my involvement was limited to the clients that the agency had on its roster. In sales, I get to touch scores of advertising campaigns each year, and for an ad geek like me, I love it and it never gets boring.
Any pets? Names/breeds?
Roxxi, my 10 year old black lab, who is the doggy love of my life! (pic attached)
Most inspirational speaker you’ve seen and why?
Well, I haven’t technically “seen” this speaker, but I am a huge fan of Million Dollar Listing NY. Fredrik Eklund is one of the most talented guys in real estate and he’s very inspiring to me. Watching him gives me negotiation ideas, and I have read his book, “The Sell,” and it’s very motivating. In a way, I’m selling real estate and a lot of the same rules apply to building wrap ad sales. I do the Fredrik high kick for every single contract, whether it’s $500 or $500,000.
Any awesome or funny story?
Recently, I was in Florida with my family. If you really want to get to know your friends and family on a deeper level, play Cards Against Humanity. We laughed like crazy, and I suggest waterproof mascara. (That game is not for the faint of heart.) My dad was the one who started the game off by complaining how twisted it was, and then he was the one who ended up with the most points!
Best experience as an AMA Board Member to date?
The gratitude of my fellow board members – they make it easy for me to devote the extra hours by constantly saying thank you. It’s a very nice feeling to be appreciated!
