That’s right members! There’s a brand new website for AMA.org, and it’s now seamlessly tied to your membership (if you are receiving this and you are no longer a member, or have never been one, check out all of the benefits of being a member from our website or our Member Welcome Packet)!
AMA Headquarters is excited to bring you a refreshed look and new experience to help you better find the tools and resources you need to solve your business challenges.
We know change isn’t always easy, so here are some tips for making the most of our new site.
Creating a New AMA.org Account
Even if you previously had an AMA.org account, you’ll need to register on the new site. Use your current account email address—likely the one that receives email communication from us—and create a new password.
CREATE ACCOUNT or click to watch this tutorial video below and follow along.
Completing Your Profile
Once you’ve created a new login, take a couple of minutes to fill in your profile. This information allows us to better serve you with useful content and the latest AMA news. Access your account in the top right corner of the website.
If you were previously enrolled in auto-renew, you’ll need to re-select that setting in your new profile and enter your payment information.
Where is Everything?
Just like moving to a new house, some of your favorite AMA features may have ended up in a new room. Below is a quick guide for where departments, content and other information is located.
Utilize Our Massively Improved Search Feature
You’re right: The search function on our old site stunk. Now our search bar at the top of the site is a quick way to find what you need and a great way to navigate our site.
Understanding My Community
When you’re logged in, you’ll see “community” on the left-hand side of the menu bar. This is the place where you’ll see news and information tailored to you. For example, if you’re a student member, you’ll see helpful links for everything happening in our collegiate community. If you’re an academic scholar, you’ll find important notices and publishing updates. And if you’re a chapter or SIG leader, you’ll see all the tools for managing your group.
Better Online Help
In the “community” section you’ll see a “search community” bar. Think of this as your online customer service portal. Searching here will give the top results from hundreds of articles and FAQ pages about AMA products, services and procedures. You can also access this help section under the “about” menu item.
